Make goals – Don’t get a flat tire

Set goals in each area of life, avoid a flat tire

Set goals in each area of life, avoid a flat tire

With the new year, did you make some resolutions?

Turn those resolutions into GOALS! Set at least one goal in each area, and work on them throughout the year.

Avoid getting a flat tire. Some of these areas will be easier than others. But the point Zig Ziglar makes is that each area must be tended to, or you will risk that part of your whole being. If one you slack in one area, your tire will become low, and will throw off the rest of your wheel. Much like driving around with a low or flat tire, you will be less efficient in other areas, you may get steered off track, or worse, wreck.

When setting goals, make sure they are SMART.
Specific
Measurable
Attainable
Realistic
Timely

What goals have you made for 2014?

Infuse Every Intention with Positive Energy.

I love this message from this beautiful woman!

You should check her out, and follow her blog!

I have the wonderful pleasure of meeting her through American Mothers, Inc. She is such an inspiration, and I look forward to hearing her speak in person every year.

Self Talk

Be careful how you are talking to yourself because you are listening

What message are you sending yourself?

Self-sabotage is killer:  your spirit, your esteem, everything you truly know yourself to be.

What kind of things do you tell yourself?

Opportunity out of Difficulty

“In the middle of every difficulty comes opportunity.” Albert Einstein

Have you ever struggled with a great difficulty in life, only to be rewarded with a great opportunity? One that you never would have had if you weren’t going through such a trying time?

What did it feel like when you realized your opportunity was right there?

Something I did not learn as a child

risk-and-reward

“Progress involves risks. You can’t steal second base and keep your foot on first.” – Frederick B Wilcox

Taking risks is scary to me. As I grow older, I am becoming less fearful.

Financial Freedom Friday

batch of dollars

“Financial freedom is not about having money. You are never free until you have power over how you think and feel about your money and how you invest and spend it.” – Suze Orman

Some people have no problem with their feelings about money. But there are others who have a not-so-healthy attitude when it comes to their finances.

Changing your attitude about money is not easy to do, it takes baby steps. First you must realize that money is an inanimate object, with no soul or spirit. It is neither good nor evil.

The person who holds the money can do either good things or bad things while using it.

You can save or invest for the future, your future, the future of your family.

You can buy a latte and a scone, for your waistline (smile). As an occasional treat, this may be fine, but a daily treat, maybe not so much (for your wallet and your waistline).

But in both of those instances, it is the person who is in control of their money, not the money controlling the person. With small steps, you can change your attitude and change your life.

What are your financial feelings? Do you have a healthy attitude about money?

Are you wise?

“A wise man will make more opportunities than he finds.” – Francis Bacon

Dream – anything is possible

“As long as we dare to dream and don’t get in the way of ourselves, anything is possible – there’s truly no end to where our dreams can take us.” Hilary Swank

Where do you stand?

“The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.” MLK jr

Lighten up!

“No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another.” Charles Dickens

Think of those who lighten your burdens.
